Tucson Truck Driver School

Centrally located right off the I-10 on Glenn St. The Tucson campus has been in operation for nearly 20 years. Our experienced staff will ensure you get driving towards a new career.

Southwest Truck Driver Training Tucson Campus is the only truck driver school that is not owned by a trucking company. Why does that matter? We are student focused and not worried about filling up OUR trucks. Our goal is to train exceptional drivers and assist them in finding the job placement THEY want. We want to train students in Tucson with careers in trucking.

At our Tucson school location, you have the options of earning your CDL Class A & B license, along with RV driver training and refresher courses. If you are a veteran, please visit our military page to learn about the POST 9/11 GI Bill® and how we are here to serve you.

At Southwest Truck Driver Training, we offer a lifetime job placement assistance program for all our successful graduates. We are here to ensure you receive the best training and education with the tools for you to succeed in your career for a lifetime. No matter how long ago you graduated from our school, we are here to help you find the next job in your trucking career.

f you're looking for a driving school in Tucson, consider the fact that 97% of our students not only complete the program but earn a license and find a job shortly after graduation. Each year, about 200 people transformed from students into truck drivers thanks to their time at our campus. We're proud of that impressive record.

After just four weeks of intensive education and training, you'll be qualified, licensed, and ready to begin your career. In just a single month, you'll be in front of recruiters offering you well-paying positions—about $45,000 a year ($20 an hour) or more—that come with full benefits packages.

Since we aren't owned by a trucking company, we invite industry leaders like Covenant, May, Schneider, and Werner to recruit our graduates. Across our three locations, we host as many as six job fairs annually, where you can shop your skills both to local carriers and over-the-road companies. When you graduate, it's not goodbye. Every student receives lifetime job-placement and career assistance.

Our classroom facilities are state of the art, and the trucks you'll learn on are just like the ones you'll drive when you begin your career—full sleepers with 53-foot trailers. We stand out for having trucks with both manual and automatic transmissions, and, unlike so many other schools that train their students on trucks that are 20 or 25 years old, you'll learn on modern, low-mileage vehicles.

It's not just our campus and our trucks—our instructors are top-of-the-line, too. Each one is a state-certified examiner, and all have at least three years of over-the-road experience (most have five). Since our classes are small, there's never more than four students per instructor.

No CDL school in Tucson can match up. Our record, experience, and reputation speak for themselves. A minimal investment in both time and money is all it takes to launch your career. After just 80 hours of classroom time and another 80 of hands-on work, you'll be behind the wheel, on the road, and cashing in.
