Rodrigo started his institution in 1994 with his wife, Ana, in their own back yard at their home. The school started with just one truck, a small shed used as a classroom, and a trailer used as an office.

The couple viewed the students as extended family and would often have Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners to their students attending the school during holidays. Ana and Rodrigo used their own van to pick up and drop off students who needed help with transportation in order to attend school, waking up at 5am and dropping off students in the late hours of 6-7pm daily. Rodrigo was passionate about helping those who wanted to pursue bigger opportunities within the trucking business.

Rodrigo passed away on August 21, 2020, yet his legacy continues. Today, Pilot Trucking School has helped many drivers from surrounding states, to different countries, and even those who spoke various languages. The school is still family managed and has been in operation for more than 26 years. Pilot Trucking School continues to hold the passion for developing the next generation of professional commercial truck drivers and creating the new path of success in every student, just as Rodrigo has always instilled.

We train with manual transmission

All of our trucks are 10-Speed manual transmission, standard size. We want all of our graduates to have no restrictions. Finding a job is smoother and the possibilities are endless.

Flexible Scheduling

Since September 2020, we have moved to a new scheduling system where students choose their own class schedules. Availability, cancelation, and rescheduling is as easy as a click.

Smaller Class Size

We have reduced our class sizes for safety, ultimately giving more training time for all students.
