The Commercial Vehicle Driving program prepares students for entry-level employment as a truck driver. It focuses on safety issues, federal rules and regulations, private one-on-one driver training instruction, acquiring the class "A" CDL License, and local or over-the-road job placement. IRSC has joined with the SAGE Corporation, the nation’s foremost operator of professional truck driving schools, to train the safest, most professional and proficient entry-level drivers in the country.
Once You Complete the Program
Graduates pursue employment driving vehicles such as semi-trucks, tractor-trailers and buses. Traditional job opportunities involve driving, and loading and unloading freight along established routes. Non-traditional job opportunities include highway maintenance technician, engineering equipment operator, construction equipment operator, terminal manager, recruiter, dispatcher and chauffer.
