Stevens Driving Academy of Texas, LP has also partnered with local truck driving schools to open satellite facilities in strategic locations throughout the United States. We have partnered with the top training facilities in the country to ensure that our drivers receive an education that meets and/or exceeds our high standards. No matter what part of the country you are from, we have the right training facility for you!

DEDICATION TO CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT

Not only have we been training drivers for success for decades, but we also have a commitment to continuous development!

Stevens Transport has just taken the next step and was granted authorization in April 2017 to administer the Commercial Driver License (CDL) Skills Test on behalf of the Department of Public Safety. This authorization allows Stevens Transport to conduct the Third-Party Skills CDL Test. Having the capabilities to conduct the Third Party CDL Test has greatly reduced the wait time for a student to take the Skills test, which means that you could be on the road starting your adventure that much quicker!

INDUSTRY LEADING TUITION SHARE AND REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAMS

At Stevens Transport, we see the value of not only adding skilled, talented drivers to the industry, but also giving students the opportunity to learn! If you do not have the financial means to go to an outside training program, we do offer company sponsorship.

STEVENS TRANSPORT OFFERS UP TO $7500 IN REIMBURSEMENT

Stevens Transport also offers anyone who attends an outside CDL academy up to $7500 in tuition reimbursement to be paid out to the driver themselves or to their lender as long as they are working for us. We have an impeccable record with finance companies by making on-time payments for our drivers so that there is no stress involved. We take the burden off of your shoulders so that you can focus on what is important!

TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL IN TAMPA

EARN YOUR CDL AT TTDS

Attend Tampa CDL training. Due to rapid growth for regional and dedicated drivers, Stevens Driving Academy of Texas, LP has partnered with Tampa Truck Driving School (TTDS) to recruit and train new truck drivers in Tampa, FL. TTDS has an excellent reputation, and offers outstanding hands on training. Our strategic partnership allows new drivers the opportunity to take advantage of employer based training while earning their Commercial Drivers License. Once on the road, the graduates of the TTDS program earn up to $50,000 in their first year and $70,000 in their third year.

By training at Tampa’s leading CDL training program, will place your professional driving career on the fast track. In addition to helping students receive their CDL, certified professional trainers teach new drivers the industry best practices to help them become the best and safest drivers on the road. Their students receive the time and attention needed to help them succeed during an intense three (3) week commercial driving school.

TAMPA TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL

Our approved partner, Tampa Truck Driving School, starts a new training class every Monday. Classes are held Monday through Friday, and new drivers get a total of 165 hours of training time. After completing the program and obtaining your CDL, Stevens will pay for your transportation to our Headquarters in Dallas, Texas to attend orientation. All drivers are required to attend new hire orientation. Upon successful completion of orientation, you will become an employee of Stevens Transport and added to the professional driver payroll.

OVER THE ROAD TRAINING

In our highly reputable Over the Road Training Program, you are paired with a Driver Mentor and Trainer to receive 1-on-1 training. You will receive the most comprehensive training in the industry as you complete 240 hours behind the wheel, approximately five to six weeks. Your individualized training encompasses driving and navigating all 5 regions of the U.S. as you learn to haul time-sensitive, temperature-controlled commodities. You will earn a weekly salary while completing our intense truck driver training program. Participating in this safety centric training program will put your career on the road to success.

Upon completion of your Over the Road Training, you will be assigned your own equipment and will start being paid on a per mile basis. First year drivers have an average yearly income of $50,000 with third year drivers earning approximately $70,000. After completing the Over the Road Training Program, you can take your career in a variety of different directions including: Dedicated Driver, Regional Driver, Tanker Driver, Independent Contractor, or Owner/Operator.
