Commercial Truck Driving Program - Class A

The standard curriculum for this 8-week program consists of 220 hours of instruction to include classroom, lab, range, and an equivalent of 750 miles over the road. Successful graduates are eligible to test for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class “A” license, a Technical Certificate of Credit from Georgia Piedmont Technical College, and a defensive driving certificate.

This program is a special admissions program with specific start dates.

Class Size Limit: 15

In addition to GPTC’s admissions requirements, this program requires the following to enroll:

Valid Georgia Driver’s License

7-Year motor vehicle report

Class “A” Learner’s Permit (must obtain prior to orientation/registration)
