If you’re looking for high quality and personal service, you’ve come to the right place. At 1-Day CDL, we’ll give you the attention and personal service needed to assist you to get you on the road to success with a Class A or Class B commercial license.

We provide the truck and trailer. The truck is a single-axle day cab with a 6-speed synchronized transmission and the trailer is a 30' flatbed. It is easy to maneuver through the CDL course. We also have a Class B straight truck with a manual transmission.

After you pass the required General Knowledge, Combination Vehicle, Air Brake tests and purchase a Commercial Learner Permit call us for an appointment. We help you learn and understand the CDL Pre-Trip Inspection. We will also show you how Iowa DOT wants you to maneuver through the Skills Course.

Basic Maneuvering Skills

We are not a driving school and therefore, do not teach you how to drive, handle, or operate a truck.

We will provide detailed information about the DOT requirements for inspection on the vehicle. The information is outlined on the Memory Aid Card, provided by DOT, We will walk around the vehicle and practice what the DOT expects from you to pass the requirements of the test.

At 1-Day CDL, we take care to provide our customers high quality services personalized for their unique needs. If you have your own truck and/or a group of people we can come to you and help you learn the DOT tests. We are available for consultation during business hours as well as some evenings and weekends. Our staff members are professional, courteous and efficient.

We will set up cones to allow you to practice the basic maneuvering skills as required by DOT. There are three basic maneuvers you must complete successfully to pass. 1-Day CDL requires you to have driven a Class A or B vehicle prior to our meeting. We do not train you to drive. We provide the knowledge for the requirements as expected by DOT standards.
