Top Gun Truck Driving Academy was founded in January, 2004 by Greg and Michelle Christianson. We primarily serve the southern Idaho area although; students have attended from all parts of the nation. Because we are a family based business we are better able to serve and meet our student’s needs rather than being bound by rules and regulations that franchise or college CDL schools have to adhere to.

Top Gun prides itself in training students for industry demands, aiding and following students through the job application and placement with a company that fits their needs. We train for several top notch companies and our students are regularly hired immediately after graduation.

Top Gun also takes pride and gives back to the Academy’s community wherever it can. We regularly donate to St. Jude’s, Wounded Warrior Project and several other local programs.

1 week refresher course: 40 hours of training

The student can expect to have approximately 16.5 hours of driving time and 16.5 hours of backing instruction. In addition they will also enjoy 7 hours of truck lab.

4 week CDL Class A course: 160 hours of training

The student will have roughly 40 hours of driving, 40 hours of classroom and 40 hours of backing instruction. An additional 40 hours will be spent in truck lab with some observation time.
