Truck Driving

The commercial Truck Driving program is structured to allow an individual to become proficient in the operation of trucks and semi-trailers. The end result is for the student to test for an Illinois commercial driver’s license (CDL) and DOT certification.

Successful completers are employed in areas ranging from delivery to “over-the-road” transport, including specialty trucks such as UPS and the U.S. Mail.

Founded in 1960, WVC is a two-year community college that offers a wide variety of transfer, occupational, continuing education and community service programs. Situated on 120 acres in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the college consists of modern facilities surrounding a scenic lake and wooded pathways.

Additionally, WVC is proud to offer club sports such as archery and bass fishing.

WVC, as part of the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges District, serves a 12-county region, which boasts a total population of 111,000 people.
