Training You can Trust

White Line CDL Training has been approved to operate as a private postsecondary institution with the Kansas Board of Regents and has been awarded an "A" rating by the Better Business Bureau.

White Line CDL Training is a four-week instructional CDL (Commercial Drivers' License) training course. The school has met the approvals of several major transportation companies. Stop by to talk with us about the diverse collection of companies that recruit from our classrooms. Upfront financing is available from multiple lenders and most major transportation companies offer tuition reimbursement. Ask us how to apply!

White Line CDL Training was founded by Don Losson, who has decades of commercial driving experience, has taught as an instructor, worked for the state of Kansas as a CDL examiner, and has received several safety awards over his career. Don opened the Topeka location in 2010 and now his son, Justin is carrying on his legacy. We have added a location in 2017 in Manhattan that partners with the Flint Hills Job Corps and another stand alone site in 2018 that is located in Wichita.

New classes begin every 4 weeks, excluding holidays. The program is four weeks in length or after the successful completion of the required hours of training. Classes normally begin at 8 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The first four days of the program the student will obtain his DOT physical and UA, study and test for instructional permits. The remainder of the program will consist of 2 to 4 hours of classroom study each day and 4 to 6 hours of driving. The driving training will include inspections, range driving, defensive driving, basic road skills and backing skills. The classroom training includes learning the regulations required of federal motor carriers, how to accurately keep daily logs and become familiar with the equipment of the trade. Presentations will be offered by industry experts as well as several major trucking companies and other organizations.

Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be awarded a certificate from the school. To successfully complete the program the student must attend all classes, complete all assignments and successfully meet the requirements set forth by the State of Kansas for commercial drivers. Final testing for graduation and true completion of the program is done when the student takes and passes the state of Kansas C.D.L. driving test.

While this is a brief outline of the skills that will be taught, White Line CDL Training strives to teach professionalism. We hope that no matter how many miles the student has driven after his/her graduation, his/her actions will always reflect back on what the driving school has taught him/her.
