RECOGNIZED BY THE INDUSTRY AS SUPERIOR

Stevens Transport is an industry leader in CDL training. We have been training successful drivers for decades and have a track record to prove it! Our CDL training program is the most comprehensive in the industry for new drivers. It’s not only about turning out people who can drive a truck. It’s about setting you up for success and sending out safe, responsible, well prepared drivers onto the adventure of a lifetime in their new career.

OUR PARTNER TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOLS

Stevens Driving Academy of Texas, LP has also partnered with local truck driving schools to open satellite facilities in strategic locations throughout the United States. We have partnered with the top training facilities in the country to ensure that our drivers receive an education that meets and/or exceeds our high standards. No matter what part of the country you are from, we have the right training facility for you!

DEDICATION TO CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT

Not only have we been training drivers for success for decades, but we also have a commitment to continuous development!

Stevens Transport has just taken the next step and was granted authorization in April 2017 to administer the Commercial Driver License (CDL) Skills Test on behalf of the Department of Public Safety. This authorization allows Stevens Transport to conduct the Third-Party Skills CDL Test. Having the capabilities to conduct the Third Party CDL Test has greatly reduced the wait time for a student to take the Skills test, which means that you could be on the road starting your adventure that much quicker!

INDUSTRY LEADING TUITION SHARE AND REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAMS

At Stevens Transport, we see the value of not only adding skilled, talented drivers to the industry, but also giving students the opportunity to learn! If you do not have the financial means to go to an outside training program, we do offer company sponsorship.

STEVENS TRANSPORT OFFERS UP TO $7500 IN REIMBURSEMENT

Stevens Transport also offers anyone who attends an outside CDL academy up to $7500 in tuition reimbursement to be paid out to the driver themselves or to their lender as long as they are working for us. We have an impeccable record with finance companies by making on-time payments for our drivers so that there is no stress involved. GET YOUR TRUCKING CAREER STARTED WITH STEVENS TRANSPORT

Stevens Transport has been partnering with US Truck Driving School (USTDS) since 1994, operating Michigan’s premier CDL training center. This partnership allows new drivers the ability to learn through employer-based training while earning their Commercial Drivers License. Graduates of USTDS can earn up to $50,000 in their first year and $70,000 in their third year.

Training at USTDS will give you an advantage going into your career because of the way that certified professional trainers teach new drivers the industry and best practices to help them become the best and safest drivers on the road. Being Michigan’s leading CDL training program, students receive the time and attention they need to help them succeed during an intense, four-week commercial driving school. Classroom work is the first step in the process of becoming a trucker. USTDS starts a new training class every Monday, held Monday through Friday and new drivers get a total of 160 hours of training time before heading to orientation and eventually over-the-road (OTR) training.

At the end of classroom training, Stevens Transport will pay for transportation to our headquarters in Dallas, Texas to attend mandatory orientation. At this point, new graduates will be official employees of Stevens Transport and be added to the professional driver payroll.

Drivers will then move on to our over-the-road training program where they will be paired with a mentor and trainer to receive 1-on-1 driver training. Through this process, each driver goes receives the most comprehensive training in the industry, completing 240 hours behind the wheel over approximately five to six weeks. Individual training will consist of driving and navigating all five regions of the U.S., learning to haul time-sensitive, temperature-controlled commodities. While in training, you will earn a weekly salary.

After completing over the road training, drivers will be assigned to their personal equipment and be paid on a per mile basis. During the first year, drivers have an average annual income of $50,000, rising to $70,000 by the third year. After completing this part of the program, your career can go in many directions including:

• Dedicated Drivers

• Regional Drivers

• Tanker Drivers

• Independent Contractors

• Owners/Operators
