BASIC TRUCK DRIVER TRAINING

(200 Clock Hours)

The object of the Basic Truck Driver Program offered by CRW Truck Driving Training School LLC is to provide an applicant with the basic knowledge and skills in preparation for an entry– level position in the transportation industry. Upon successful completion of this program the graduate would be eligible for an entry level position with a company trainer for a short period of time gaining the knowledge and skills needed to safely operate a tractor trailer as a solo driver.

This 200-hour program consists of the following. Class schedules include full time (day) Monday-Friday, part-time (night) Monday-Friday, part-time (day) weekends, or a combination of the above.

All students are required to successfully complete the course.

CRW TRUCK DRIVING TRAINING SCHOOL LLC

SECTION I (40 Clock Hours)

CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION: This section prepares the student for successful completion of the state CDL written examination and for more rigorous training in the skills needed as an over-the-road driver. Instructor will include theory and hands –on instructions in vehicle inspection and all major components of the vehicle to ensure safe operation, driving under adverse weather conditions, emergency, run-away ram procedures, accident reporting and record keeping.

Students will be required to fully understand the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), local and federal DOT regulations, and other requirements learned will be, drier health and fatigue, financial planning, load securing, daily logs, dispatch procedures, and customer relations. All students will be measured daily, given homework assignments, and administered final exams.

SECTION II (80 Clock Hours)

SKILL AREA INSTRUCTION: This section is designed to ensure that the student, upon graduation, will be able tot safely maneuver a tractor-trailer unit, regardless of size, within a confined area. Position the combination vehicle for back into a loading area as required in the transportation industry. In doing this, the student will straight line back, site side and blind side parallel park, and forty-five degree alley dock. Students will learn hand-foot coordination while learning to shift manual transmission, administering brake control, and positioning the combination vehicle. Proper per-trip inspections, coupling/uncoupling, and circle of safety will be covered. Extensive use of mirrors will be taught while driving forward and performing backing maneuvers. Student’s progress will be measured daily as they work with their teams on a daily basis, and will be graded on their individual maneuvers leading to the state CDL Skill Exam.

CRW TRUCK DRIVING TRAINING SCHOOL LLC

SECTION III (80 Clock Hours)

OVER-THE-ROAD INSTRUCTION: The CRW Training School LLC will prepare students to safely operate a tractor trailer unit upon the nation’s highways in various weather conditions, traffic conditions, and over various terrains. Students will maneuver the vehicle on tow-lane and four-lane highways, as well as in cities and towns. Safe actions and safe driving will be included in every lesson. Student’s progress will be measured on a daily basis and will be graded on their individual maneuvers leading to sate CDL Skill Exam.

COMMERICIAL DRIVER’S REFESHER PROGRAM

TRUCK DRIVER TRAINING (40 Clock Hours)

The object of the Truck Driver Refresher Program offered by CRW Truck Driving Training School LLC is to provide and applicant refresher training in basic knowledge and skills in preparation for a re-entry-level position in the transportation industry. Upon successful completion of this program the graduate will be eligible for an entry-level position with a competent trainer for a short period of time gaining the knowledge and skill needed to safely operate a tractor as a solo driver.

This 40-hour program consists of the following. Class schedules include full-time (day) Monday-Friday, part-time (night) Monday-Friday, part-time (day) weekends, or combination of the above. All students are required to successfully complete the course.

CRW TRUCK DRIVING TRAINING SCHOOL LLC

SECTION I (20 Clock Hours)

SKILL AREA INSTRUCTION: This section is designed to ensure that the student, upon completion, will be able to safely move a tractor-trailer unit, regardless of size, within a confined area. Position the combination vehicle back into a loading area as requiring transportation industry. Job Search Assistance

The primary purpose of the job search assistance is to assist CRW graduates in obtaining employment in their areas of specialization. Satisfactory completion of program course work and development of personal qualities by the student are the first steps in the employment process.

The job search assistance service provides specific training in various job-seeking skills through classroom lectures, as well as one-on-one interviews with students.

The job assistance service will work with each student prior to graduation to determine areas of employment interest an to explore placement options. Students ate then notified of appropriate opportunities as they arise. Job search assistance is available to all CRW graduates and alumni who wish advancement or to find a new job. Altho9ugh it is impossible, as well as prohibited by certain regulations, to guarantee set wages or a job to graduates, the job search assistance service does work diligently to provide job leads and to send graduates on appropriate interviews.
