Stevens Driving Academy of Texas, LP has also partnered with local truck driving schools to open satellite facilities in strategic locations throughout the United States. We have partnered with the top training facilities in the country to ensure that our drivers receive an education that meets and/or exceeds our high standards. No matter what part of the country you are from, we have the right training facility for you!

Not only have we been training drivers for success for decades, but we also have a commitment to continuous development!

Stevens Transport has just taken the next step and was granted authorization in April 2017 to administer the Commercial Driver License (CDL) Skills Test on behalf of the Department of Public Safety. This authorization allows Stevens Transport to conduct the Third-Party Skills CDL Test. Having the capabilities to conduct the Third Party CDL Test has greatly reduced the wait time for a student to take the Skills test, which means that you could be on the road starting your adventure that much quicker!

INDUSTRY LEADING TUITION SHARE AND REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAMS

At Stevens Transport, we see the value of not only adding skilled, talented drivers to the industry, but also giving students the opportunity to learn! If you do not have the financial means to go to an outside training program, we do offer company sponsorship.

STEVENS TRANSPORT OFFERS UP TO $7500 IN REIMBURSEMENT

Stevens Transport also offers anyone who attends an outside CDL academy up to $7500 in tuition reimbursement to be paid out to the driver themselves or to their lender as long as they are working for us. We have an impeccable record with finance companies by making on-time payments for our drivers so that there is no stress involved. We take the burden off of your shoulders so that you can focus on what is important!

ATTEND TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL IN CHARLOTTE

NC CDL TRAINING IN JUST 4 WEEKS

Stevens Transport offers Commercial Driving License (CDL) training to Charlotte, NC through a partnership with Trans Tech. With an excellent reputation and outstanding hands-on training, Trans Tech allows drivers to take advantage of employer-based training while earning their CDL. Graduates of this program can earn up to $50,000 in their first year and $70,000 in their third year.

In addition to classroom learning, Trans Tech offers certified professional trainers who teach new drivers the industry’s best practices and ways to be the safest and best drivers on the road. Students at the Charlotte facility receive the time and attention that is needed for success in the intense four-week course.

We start a new training class at Trans Tech each Monday and classes take place from Monday through Friday.

COMPANY-SPONSORED CDL TRAINING IN CHARLOTTE

Drivers receive a total of 165 hours of classroom training time, ending with orientation at Stevens Transport headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Orientation is required, but Stevens provides transportation. Upon completion of orientation, students will become official employees of Stevens Transport and added to the professional driver payroll.

Each new employee will be paired with a mentor and trainer through the over-the-road (OTR) training program, to begin applying classroom knowledge in the real world. During this process, new drivers receive 1-on-1, comprehensive training. Drivers complete 240 hours behind the wheel over a five to six-week period. Individual training consists of driving and navigating all five regions of the U.S., learning to haul time-sensitive and temperature-controlled commodities. During this time, new drivers will earn a weekly salary.

After completion of over the road training, each new driver will be assigned to their own equipment and be paid on a per mile basis. Stevens Transport offers three automatic pay raises within the first year of professional driving, ending with an average annual salary of $50,000. Then, in the third year of driving, drivers earn approximately $70,000. After completing over the road training, drivers can take their career in many directions including:
