CDL Truck Driver

Palmetto Training, Inc. is accepting new students for our CDL program. The course is 6 weeks long, 148 hours. The CDL program is offered at our Walterboro, North Charleston & Sumter location. Students are required to have a valid South Carolina driver’s license. DOT physical and Class a CDL permit before starting the course. Must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible to enroll.

Pre-trip inspection, shifting, coupling and uncoupling, straight line backing, offset backing, parallel parking, proper position of fifth wheel and adjust sliding tandems.

The South Carolina Technical Institute, Inc., was founded in 1951 by Elmer Edwin Jackson & Tracy Johnson. Since then, Elmer’s son Eddie Jackon created a branch of SCTII known as Palmetto Training, Inc. We strive to train adults and youth for our country’s future.

We offer placement assistance to all industries we train in. Potential employers visit and recruit on a monthly basis.
