Billy and the rest of the instructors at CCS Truck Driving School set out to create a school that would help our friends and neighbors interested in a truck driving career. In these uncertain financial times, we believe that the trucking industry is a great place to build a solid career. For many years CCS Truck Driving School has delivered on Billy’s dream and provided excellent education and job placement for all our students. We are very proud of our school’s 100% job placement rate. We believe this is a testimate to the hard work of our staff and the excellence of our students.

Students will be trained using late model conventional Volvo tractors with straight 10 speed manual transmissions. Trailers used during training will be flatbed and van trailers up to 53 feet long to provide the best possible training. Our tractors have safety features factory installed or added to them to insure the safest possible training.
Our campus is conveniently located near Exit 50 Interstate 81 at 134 Joe R. McCrary Road in Fall Branch, Tennessee. We are approximately 15 minutes south of Johnson City and 20 minutes from Kingsport.
The Campus covers three acres with two buildings on the property.
CCS is currently operating in a mobile office and classroom facility at the far end of the tractor trailer training field while its’ new offices and classrooms are being completed. Behind the main building and connected to the truck lab is the driver training range. The range area is used for tractor trailer operations training and backing practice. The entrance to our Business Office in the mobile office is through the door at the east end of the building (left side) and entrance to the classroom, break room and restrooms is the door on the west end of the building.
CCS uses a number of visual aids and modern equipment in our classroom to enhance student learning. On the driving range, students will find several stations for the hands-on practice of backing maneuvers in preparation for the Commercial Driver License test.
All CDL Permit and Endorsements written tests are conducted by the Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security in their facilities. Final CDL driving test is conducted by TDOS-approved Third Party Examiner right on the CCS campus.
CCS Truck Driving School, Inc. is a WIA-approved & TAA-approved Post-Secondary Institution. Our Entry Level Tractor Trailer Driver Training Program is also VA-Benefit eligible!. Neither of our programs are Pell Grant eligible. For students who are unable to fully pay their Tuition and Costs prior to the start of training, CCS offers referrals to Lenders who offer Credit-Based Student Financing alternatives.
