Welcome to the web home of the Smokey Mountain Trucking Institute (SMTI). We hope that here you will find information to help you make a decision about a career in transportation and find out a little about what our school has to offer. For the professionals already in the industry, we offer a message board to meet others in the industry and exchange thoughts and ideas.

Our mission is to provide innovative and premium quality instruction and hands-on training, with emphasis placed on courteous driving habits, and defensive driving techniques which leads to the safest driving record possible, to students seeking a Commercial Driver License which will lead them to full-time employment in the trucking industry.

Smokey Mountain Trucking Institute offers two programs at this time. Class A CDL consists of a complete 220.5 contact hour program. Registration fee is $150.00 and tuition is $4,000.00 - less any scholarships you may qualify for. Veteran or Safe Driver scholarships are available on a limited basis. There are some funds available thru WIA for those that qualify.

Small truck Pick Up and Delivery training registration fee is $50.00 and tuition is $1,500.00. The Pick Up and Delivery Class consists of a program that is 54 hours in 7 days. (This program is FedEx approved).
