Lee College was one of the first institutions of higher learning to offer college credit classes to offenders as contracted by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

The success of the Lee College Huntsville Center can be marked by the number of students who graduate with degrees and receive leading industry certifications, while serving a criminal conviction in TDCJ and leading to the reduction of recidivism rates.

The CDL Truck Driving program is offered at the maximum security John W. Wynne Unit within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and is located on FM 2821 West & Hwy. 75 in Huntsville, Texas.

Offenders must satisfy strict screening requirements for admission into the 22 semester credit hour program and the opportunity to complete a CDL examination.

With the main campus and McNair Center located in Baytown, Texas, and a satellite center in nearby Liberty, the college serves a geographic area of more than 220,000 residents that includes the school systems of Goose Creek, Anahuac, Barbers Hill, Baytown Christian Academy, Crosby, Dayton, Devers, East Chambers, Hardin, Hardin-Jefferson, Huffman, Hull-Daisetta, Kountze, Liberty and West Hardin.
