Truck Driving - FastForward Credential Program

Length:

6 week training

Purpose:

This program will be presented with vision and focus and has been carefully designed to accommodate each student’s individual requirements and needs. Our program will ensure that students are exposed to the most up-to-date, effective, behind the wheel and classroom instruction. Students will learn the newest driving information from a professional driver. Students will also learn the best way to operate, maintain, and manage a truck. By the end of the six-week program, students will be on the road to a new career as a professional truck driver.

To best meet the needs of our communities, the college has offerings at the Wytheville Campus, the Crossroads Institute in Galax, the Summit Center in Marion, as well as providing dual enrollment opportunities to area high school students at their respective high schools. WCC has offerings for those interested in day, evening, weekend, and online courses.

WCC offers a wide range of programs: transfer programs for the first two years of a baccalaureate degree, technical programs to prepare for a successful career, developmental courses to assist in successful transition to college, Workforce Development for job preparedness, and continuing education for the life of learning we all must live. WCC is proud to now have served multiple generations of families in our community.
