Pro Driver Training - Vermont's Premier Truck Driver Training School

CDL Class A

During your Class A training, you will operate 10 speed tractor trailers to prepare you for entry-level local, regional, and over-road hauling. You will receive hands-on, one-on-one training from our certified driving instructors who, combined, have more than 70 years of truck driving experience.

Course includes:

- Minimum of 148 hours of training.

- Classroom and independent study.

- Lab training to include but not limited to pre-trip inspection, identifying hazards, maintenance and securing cargo.

- One-on-one behind the wheel training on the range and on the road.

CDL Class B

During your Class B training, you will operate a 6-speed, 24-foot box truck to prepare you for local and regional entry-level CDL B positions. Students will receive hands-on, one-on-one training from our certified driving instructors who, combined, have more than 50 years of truck driving experience.

Course includes:

- Minimum of 74 hours of training.

- Classroom and independent study.

- Lab training to include but not limited to pre-trip inspection, identifying hazards, maintenance and securing cargo.

- One-on-one behind the wheel training on the range and on the road.

The Pro Driver Training program is designed to prepare you for success. Through a combination of lab, behind the wheel and classroom training you will gain the knowledge, confidence and experience to start your rewarding career as a professional truck driver.

At PDT you will complete 6 comprehensive units. Additional dedication and time will be allowed for areas that require more refinement, your success is our goal.

All course materials and text books are provided by PDT. Our program follows the PTDI (Professional Truck Drivers Institute) recommended curriculum and minimum hours of training. We use the following materials to provide you with the most comprehensive training possible:
