TRUCK DRIVER TRAINING
If you’re looking for a truck driving school, TDDS offers a variety of programs to fit your needs and level of experience. For starters, we have a CDL training course designed for drivers with no previous commercial driving experience.
At our truck driving school, we also offer programs designed for individuals and companies that want to upgrade their skills. Whether you need a Class A and/or B refresher course or need hazardous materials training, TDDS is here to guide you. And those are just a few of the truck driving training programs we have to offer!

DIESEL TECHNICIAN TRAINING
If you’re looking for a diesel mechanic training school in Ohio, then TDDS is the perfect place to start. We offer a bumper-to-bumper education that allows our students to work on and repair live equipment – not simulators – so they can get a real feel during training. And since every detail matters, we keep our class sizes small to maximize your opportunity to excel.
In addition to our great programs, consider the other perks of attending TDDS:
Affordable student housing
We offer Title IV funding (which most trucking schools don’t)
An accredited education
Job placement opportunities
RUCK DRIVER CERTIFICATE
TDDS Technical Institute has been training since 1973. Our Class “A” CDL training program is qualifying for Federal student loans and grants. TDDS takes you from A to Z. Classroom training will include CDL permit prep to enable you to pass your permit tests. All endorsements will be covered; Tanker, Hazardous Materials, and Double/Triple Trailers. Producing safe truck drivers is a TDDS goal, so students will be taught proper logbook skills, trip planning and map reading, accident prevention, and safety and mechanical issues. Every student will practice shifting techniques, backing and turning, as well as proper pre-trip inspection of the truck. Instructors will emphasize the skills required to pass the CDL exam. The CDL skills test will be administered by a state certified CDL examiner using the same equipment used during training.
We have three distinct types of truck driver training programs: a 16/25- weeks externship program, a 5-week residency program, and a 6-week residency program with passenger endorsement.
During your CDL course externship program, you can take an in-depth look at pre-trip inspections, trip planning, cargo handling, map reading, vehicle systems, CDL tankers, CDL hazardous materials, CDL doubles and triples, and tarping and chaining. Your externship experience can introduce you to company procedures, on- and off-street driving operations, and public and employer relations.
