Truck Driving Training
Join a growing field where there is a demand for truck drivers in local and long distance employment. Learn from instructors who are state-certified examiners and become fully prepared to successfully complete the CDL Road Test. You will be on your way to a rewarding career!
Professional truck drivers are responsible for the safe, efficient delivery of goods between locations. Spend time behind the wheel learning how to maneuver trucks in a variety of real-world scenarios. You will develop backing and driving skills through classroom, lab, range and roadway experiences. Non-technical skills such as communications will also be discussed. With successful completion of this program, you will have the ability to obtain your Commercial Driver's License. Opportunities to earn additional CDL endorsements will also be available.
The CDL test is not included within the Truck Driving program. Testing fees are set by the state of Wisconsin. To test and receive your CDL, you have the option to test at WITC or with any examiner in Wisconsin. Testing through WITC reduces some of the process for you. Please expect an additional fee for the test.

The WITC Experience
WITC is a diverse community of students who all have one thing in common: they all aspire to make a better future for themselves and/or their loved ones.
At WITC, you won't just be a number lost among the many faces of a lecture hall; you'll be in solidarity with your fellow classmates who are here to forge a better future and the instructors and staff who want to help make that happen for you.
You'll develop lifelong connections with students, staff and instructors who care about your success and will help to steer you in the direction of your goals.
Found directly in WITC-Rice Lake’s backyard is the Cedar Side Walking Trail, which follows the Red Cedar River for 3.5 miles where eagles, deer and other wildlife visit regularly. The largest city in the county, Rice Lake has a small-town feel with the big-city benefits of commerce, manufacturing, health and education. This Wisconsin Northwoods area has something for everyone–great fishing, hiking, biking and ATVing, as well as shopping, dining, live theatre and more.
